BriskNote is committed to maintaining the confidentiality, integrity and security of all information of our users. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect and handle certain information from our users via the use of our Chrome Extension, iOS App and Android App (hence called Products). This Privacy Policy applies to current users of our Products. By installing and using any of our Products, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

By installing and using any of our Products, you authorize us (including our representatives, affiliates and business partners) to contact you via email for product knowledge, support and promotional offers. You hereby agree that you authorize BriskNote to contact you for the above mentioned purposes. Your authorization, in this regard, shall be valid as long as your information is not opted-out by either you or us.

Your personal data will be stored and collected by BriskNote which is the umbrella for all of its Products.


Purposes of collection of your data

BriskNote collects your information when you register for an account and when you use its Products. When you register with BriskNote, you are asked for your name, email and link to an image, either directly or through a social log-in provider. This data is primarily used to sync your data across devices. It is also used to send emails to you for product information and promotional offers. As you use our Products, you create notes that we save and for you for easy retrieval later. By registering, you authorize BriskNote to collect your data for the above tasks.

We use your personal information in order to
- Sync your data across devices.
- Respond to queries or requests submitted by you.
- Carry out our obligations in relation to any agreement with our business partners.
- Anticipate and resolve problems with any services supplied to you.
- To send you promotional offers, notices and other communication.
- To make our Products better. We may combine information we get from you with information about you we get from third parties.

BriskNote will not sell or rent your information to anyone other than as set forth in this Privacy Policy. Notwithstanding the foregoing, we may share your information with an affiliate, business partner or trustable third-party service. BriskNote may also share, sell, and/or transfer your personally identifiable information to any successor-in-interest as a result of a sale of any part of BriskNote's business or upon the merger, reorganization, or consolidation of it with another entity on a basis that it is not the surviving entity.

We limit the collection and use of your personal information. We may make anonymous or aggregate personal information and disclose such data only in a non-personally identifiable manner. Such information does not identify you individually. Access to your account information and any other personal identifiably information is strictly restricted and used only in accordance with specific internal procedures, in order to operate, develop or improve our Products. We may use third-party service providers to enable different things like authentication inside our Products and we require such third parties to maintain the confidentiality of the information we provide to them under our contracts with them.

We may also share your information, without obtaining your prior written consent, with government agencies mandated under the law to obtain information for the purpose of verification of identity, or for prevention, detection, investigation including cyber incidents, prosecution, and punishment of offences, or where disclosure is necessary for compliance of a legal obligation. Any information may be required to be disclosed to any third party by us by an order under the law of the land.


Cookie Collection

A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's device tied to information about the user. We may use both session ID cookies and persistent cookies. For session ID cookies, once you log out, the cookie terminates and is erased. A persistent cookie is a small text file stored on your device for an extended period of time. Session ID cookies are used by us to track user preferences while the user is using our Products, to minimize load times and to save on server processing. Persistent cookies are used by us to store whether, for example, you want your password remembered or not, and other information.


Log Files

Like most standard tech products, we use log files. This information may include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer our Products, track user movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. We may combine this automatically collected log information with other information we collect about you. We do this to improve services we offer to you, to improve marketing, analytics or site functionality.


Email Opt Out

If you are no longer interested in receiving e-mail announcements and other marketing information from us, please write to us from the Contact area on our website or inside any of our Products. Please note that it may take us about 2 to 3 working days to process your request.

We employ appropriate technical and organizational security measures at all times to protect the information we collect from you. We use multiple electronic, procedural, and physical security measures to protect against unauthorized or unlawful use or alteration of information, and against any accidental loss, destruction, or damage to information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. Further, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your login id and password, and should not provide these credentials to any third party.

BriskNote reserves the right to change this policy from time to time, at its sole discretion. We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes to our information practices. We will update you over email whenever we make major changes to this privacy policy. We also, however, encourage you to periodically review our privacy policy.
